Chris Lambert is still working on his Digital part with Bill Weiss. He has the rest of February to finish it up and will continue to get tricks while in Australia.
Օ Lincoln Ueda has one of the most amazing vert tricks in the 411 Europe 2002 video: kickflip grab finger flip-check it. Hes currently in Brazil until Wednesday and will be going to Australia with the rest of the team on February 10.
ҕ Fabrizio Santos also has a lot of tricks in the 411 Europe 2002 video. Not only that but, he also scored the video cover doing a backside noseblunt down the hubba at the Lausanne contest. His debut ad for Shortys is also amazing--a backside Smith down the huge Beach BLVD hubba.
ҕ Mike V went to Florida last Thursday to do a demo at the NHL All-Star game with fellow etnies teammate Jesse Fritsch and Steffan Attardo. Before that, he and his company,Vallely Skateboards did a demo in Tennessee. He also recently put Brazilian, Alysson Castro, on the team. Aside from scouting new talent, Mike's been filming commercials with Mark Nisbet for various video magazines.
Rob G just returned from Miami, where he hurt his foot very badly. He is on crutches right now, but thinks he can skate by the end of the week. Meanwhile, Rob currently has a bunch of coverage out. HeՒs in Kenny Andersons Day In The Life section in 411, etnies Japan road trip (along with rest of the pro team), plus tricks in the latest ON Video featuring Natas Kaupas--not to mention a new Pop War ad featuring him rocking some navy Sal 23s. ҕ Carlos De Andrade had a video part in Digital early last year that just made the cut for the new best ofӔ Digital video called Digital All-Stars. Carlos also has a bunch of good tricks in the etnies Japan road trip in 411, plus some nice dance moves, too!
Tony Silva has a pile of good tricks in the new 411 Europe 2002 video, as well as a Next (am interview) in the new issue of Slap done by yours truly (Dave Hoang).
Օ Zered Bassett managed to get 3rd place at the Thrasher Best Trick contest on the same weekend as Tampa Am. After San Francisco, Z flew to Miami to shoot a possible photo for the Strength Am Issue cover. Zered is currently in Hong Kong doing a demo with Zoo York and celebrating the Chinese New Year. This kid also has an amazing Zoo York ad right now doing a fakie 5-0 over a grate in New York. You cant miss it--it's the longest one ever!
ҕ Billy Marks won the Best Trick contest at Tampa Am pretty easily, rolling away from seven tricks while everyone else was trying one trick the whole time. Rumor has it that this kid also has the next Strength Am Issue cover--well see. Billy also has a part in the Digital All-Stars video, so check him and Carlos out. More to come҅
Ryan Sheckler placed 3rd this year at Tampa, which was his sixth year in a row for this event. Ryan has a Volcom ad out right now of a frontside flip that's so good. He also has a Tensor trucks ad out right now, too. Ryan is getting ready to go to Oz at the end of the week to visit the Wonderful Wizard and do some more shredding.
Օ Josh Harmony is a workhorse with coverage out everywhere, so theres no mistaking what heҒs been up to lately. Just put in a video or flip through a magazine, and you will no doubt witness the hard labor hes been indulging in. Fifty-fifty down the Opera twenty-stair rail (Revolution ad), nosegrind down the sixteen-stair in San Francisco (Thunder ad)--not to mention tricks in Ed TempletonҒs 5Ӕ for 411.
