o The Outdoor Nationals are over and just about everyone is taking a vacation. After placing 2nd overall in points, Tim Ferry is relaxing in Orange County for a week before he starts testing the new YZ 450F, getting it ready for the US Open in Las Vegas. Tim will also be riding in the Motocross Des Nations on September 27-29 in San Jacinto, California. Tim is one of three riders selected to represent the U.S. in this event—the other two racers are Ricky Carmichael and Mike LaRocco.
o Grant Langston has been in his native South Africa for a couple weeks and will be back to ride the MX Des Nations representing S.A.
o Clifford Adoptante is still vacationing in Hawaii and not sure exactly when he will be back.
o Mike Brown is getting ready to start riding again after knee surgery.
o Brian Deegan, Twitch and Trigger all came to the ASR trade show in San Diego to cause trouble and were very successful.
o Jeremy Carter is still on tour back East and will end the four-month tour in two weeks.
o Sean Hamblin finished the 250 nationals in 8th place and will ride for factory Suzuki on a 125 next year.
o Buddy Antunez will be heading back to Arenacross for the 2003 season.
