Europe is done

Jul 29 2002 / Monday

- This week, everyone is still either in Europe or getting ready for one
of the upcoming contests. Gravity
Games is coming-up in Cleveland, Ohio on July 27-August 4.
- Lincoln Ueda, Jesse
Fritsch, Carlos
de Andrade and Anthony Furlong are invited to participate
in the Gravity Games.
- Prague, Czech Republic was the home to the fifth annual Mystic
Skate Cup—one of the most “interesting” stops on the
WCS European tour circuit. Fabrizio
Santos blew everyone away during the Best Trick contest by pulling a
frontside 270 kickflip transfer over a wall to bank.
- Brian Patch will be competing in the bowl event at the
Huntington Beach Phillips Fusion contest on August 3-4.
- Etnies Europe team-rider Chris Astrom (Sweden) made the
trip to Barcelona to compete in the Europe
X-Trials. He won the Street (Park) event and an invite to the X-Games
in Philadelphia, so it was well worth it. Chris has had a pretty successful
summer, winning the Etnies Euro Open in Munich and placing 13th in the WCS
Dortmund contest.
