Etnies had a rider on the podium in every race

Jul 29 2002 / Monday

- Tommy Hayden won the Genuine Suzuki Accessories Superstock
race on his 24th birthday on Sunday, July 14. This is Tommy’s second
win of the season in this class.
- Nicky Hayden got a 2nd place in the Chevy Trucks Superbike
- Jake Zemke (Etnies flow) won the Lockhart-Phillips USA
Formula Xtreme race this weekend at the Laguna Seca Raceway. The race drew
over 100,000 fans—which was a new record. Etnies had a rider on the
podium in every race, including two wins!
- Tim Ferry finished 6th in the Troy,
Ohio MX National on Sunday with a 9-4.
- Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg is on his way to Washington State
to do a contest. He just finished doing some local shows on the Warp Tour.
- OX and Deegan
have been riding at Brian’s house, getting ready for the X-Games.
They, along with Trigger, also made a special guest-appearance at the Laguna
Hills Skatepark stop of the Etnies Skatepark BBQ Tour. Although they didn’t
skate, they signed autographs and were well-known to all the local kids.
- Grant Langston
is still out with knee problems and will miss at least two more races. Mike
Brown is also having problems with an old knee injury and is not sure
when he will be back at it.
- Trigger Gumm will be doing a jump show in Cabo San Lucas
over Labor Day weekend. The jump should be around 180 to 200 FT.
