This July, Etnies and La Isla Distribution proudly kicks off a new tradition:
The Etnies Cup surf event and festivities in beautiful Costa Rica. The Etnies
Cup will be held at key summer surf spots including San Jose, Playa Hermosa
and San Pedro during Costa Rica’s college vacation week: July 2nd-6th.
This year’s events mark the first step toward building the annual
freestyle format contest.
Events will feature US Pro Etnies riders Noah
Johnson, John Logan, and Etnies Costa Rica riders Gilbert
Brown, William Johnson and Germaine Medrano
with live coverage and interviews by Teletica Channel 7 and Oxygen 104.3
FM.
The Etnies Cup event will take place at La Curva-Proyecto Playa Hermosa,
Jaco. This competition will focus on freestyle surfing with big airs, spins
and slides with a purse of $2,500.00.
