Riders Seek Downtime For Rehab

Jun 19 2002 / Wednesday

• Dionne Delesalle just
got back from Mt. Hood, Oregon filming with Mack Dawg productions. Unfortunately,
he separated his shoulder in a bad slam. Luckily, the injury is only a first-degree
separation, which will only take him out for a couple of weeks. He'll be
heading out to the summer camps as soon as he heals.
• Markku Koski has been in
Austria for the last week hanging-out in the rain. He'll be spending the
rest of this week in Garmish doing the rain dance. Markku's planning to
visit the States again early July for Mt. Hood.
• Nicolas Droz will be re-habbing
his knee for the next few months, attending his intense physical therapy
• Matt Hammer is taking a little
time off the snow to figure out his living situation. He plans to buy another
house somewhere in the Southland.
• John Jackson is still nursing his ankle. He'll be taking some time
off the snow until he's ready to hit it again.
• Tyler Lepore is in Vancouver
skating and waiting for the summer camps to start up. He'll be riding at
the Camp of Champs for the first couple of sessions.
• Joni Makinen is having an
MRI on his shoulder since it's been bothering him for the last couple of
years. Hopefully, it won't be too serious.
• Janna Meyen is still in Oregon
filming with Mack Dawg. She'll be guest-coaching at High Cascade Snowboard
Camp next week for the first two sessions.
• Chad Ottersrtom is getting
ready to hit-up some of the summer camps. He'll be guest-coaching the first
couple of sessions at HCSC.
• Roberta Rodger is still
down here in Southern California, looking for property with her boyfriend.
She'll be heading back to Vancouver later this week to attend the first
couple of sessions at Camp of Champions.
• Kevin Sansalone is feeling
a lot better since he's been focusing on his physical therapy. He's been
riding his mountain bike and skating a little. He'll be one of the few guest
coaches at Camp of Champions.
• Risto Scott is finishing-up
some summer courses at the local city college in Vancouver. He's also gearing-up
for the summer camps.
• Wille Yli-Luoma is hanging-out
with his family in Finland. He'll be heading to Austria next week to attend
some of the European summer camps.
