Taj Mihelich is currently
on a Primo / Props road-trip from Orlando to St. Louis. He gets back home
later this week. The trip will be featured in an upcoming issue of Props
Video Magazine. Etnies riders Nate Hanson, Brian Terada, Ian Morris and
Etnies-UK rider Sebastian "Bas" Keep are also along for the trip.
Joe Rich just returned home
from his extended stay in Europe. He was out there for the Etnies Backyard
Jam in England, a Seventies Distribution tour in England and then a stay
in Spain with etnies rider Ruben Alcantara-where they shot photos and filmed.
Joe is glad to be back because he hasnt had a chance to ride the new
mini-ramp at the Terrible One warehouse. Over the next week or so, he will
be filming some for the Etnies video and shooting photos for various uses.
Ruben Alcantara has
been in Spain spending some time with his family and friends and doing a
ton of riding out there, as well. He is currently in Palavas, France for
the FISE Round 1 pro contest coming up this weekend. Ruben went early to
check out the amateur event that went down last weekend. He will be back
home in Austin, Texas next week.
Mike Escamilla has
been busy filming and shooting photos lately in Southern California. He
has also been busy planning a road trip out to Lubbock, Texas through the
Southwest that will be covered in RideBMX magazine, and also the RideBMX
video magazine. Etnies riders Jason Enns and Edwin Delarosa will also be
along for the ten-day road trip.
Jason Enns is heading
to Southern California this weekend to prepare for the trip mentioned above.
He has been at home in Vancouver, Canada riding whenever the weather has
permitted him to.
Nate Wessel has been
at home in Ohio recovering from his surgeries. He has been a little frustrated
because the weather is finally nice in Ohio-after all the snow from winter
has melted-and he cant ride, but hell be back very soon. Hes
heading to Austin, Texas early next week to go film with Etnies riders Taj
Mihelich, Joe Rich and Ruben Alcantara. Following that, hes going
back to Ohio to get his ankle and eye checked out.
Sandy Carson is currently
in Scotland visiting with family and friends. He was also on a tour with
Seventies Distribution in England, riding everything in his path.
Josh Stricker is back
in Philadelphia after an unplanned sixteen-hour drive from Orlando. Josh
was at the Etnies-sponsored UGP Roots contest over the weekend and had a
flight on the Monday morning at 6:30. It was one of those internet tickets,
so there wasnt much he could do if he missed the flight. He barely
missed it and decided to just rent a car instead of waiting around the airport
forever in anticipation of a stand-by seat.
Dave Friemuth is on his way to the
Florida Keys with UGP after attending the UGP Roots contest this weekend.
Dave rode well all weekend and placed 13th out of close to 100 pro competitors.
UGP is taking their team riders down to the Keys for a sort of vacation
/ team meeting. Following that, Dave will be headed back home to Wisconsin
for a while.
John Heaton is in Palavas,
France for the FISE Round 1 pro contest. He went there on the 6th of April
to check out the amateur contest and prepare for the pro event this upcoming
weekend. Following the contest, John will be heading back to Toronto, Canada
to chill and ride at home for a while.
Edwin Delarosa is headed to Southern California this week to get
ready for the road-trip he is taking with Etnies riders Mike Escamilla and
Jason Enns. Edwin has been at home in New York riding spending time with
his girlfriend. He has been on the road so much lately, so it has been nice
for him to chill for a while at home. After the trip, Edwin is going to
stay in Southern California for a few days to shoot photos and film. Hell
be back in NYC at the end of the month.
Garrett Byrnes is in Palavas, France for the FISE Round 1 pro event
this weekend. He plans on heading back to New Jersey next week when the
contest is over. He has been overseas for about a month now enjoying all
the riding Europe has to offer.
