Team Report

Apr 1 2002 / Monday

· Rob G
and Fabrizio Santos
are still on the road with their board sponsor, New Deal. On Friday when
I spoke to them, they were in North Carolina. By the end of the week, they
will be in Seattle for The End radio “E4” event hosted by Zumiez.
Video premier tour!
· Lincoln Ueda
is still in Brazil doing some Visa paperwork for his residency. Lincoln
is supposed to be back on the 28th of this month. He won the Latin American
X-Games vert qualifier, guaranteeing him a slot in the Summer X-Games 2002.
· Carlos De
Andrade has been skating, filming and shooting photos in Miami with
his World Industries teammates, plus Bill Weiss (Digital video) and Dave
Malenfant (photographer-Bill and Dave aren’t team mates) He’s
now home working on gathering up some footage for a video part.
· Mike V is
starting to collect some last-minute footage for his upcoming video. He
just got back from Tampa, where he won the Best-Trick contest. Playing music,
skating, putting his video together, starting a new board company, touring,
what else do you want to hear? This guy does it all.
· Elissa Steamer
was in Tampa for the Pro contest and is now on her way up to Philly to film
before coming back to Los Angeles.
· Chris Lambert
is getting ready to go to Seattle this Thursday. He’ll be joining Mike
V, Fabrizio and Rob G at the The End radio “E4” event up North.
· Jesse Fritsch will be going to Japan and/or Australia with his
Zoo York teammates.

Skate Ams
· Billy Marks went to Las Vegas for the weekend to try to get some
coverage. The crew that he was with ended up getting kicked out of everywhere
they tried to skate. By the end of the trip, they all went to some skatepark
to try to have some fun, where they ended up getting tickets for not wearing
pads at the park. Have a nice weekend!
· Zered Basset is still on tour with Zoo York. He’s in New
York right now, headed for home in Massachusetts. At the end of the month,
Zered goes to Japan with Zoo York. This kid is gnarly-why stay home when
you can be somewhere else?
· Tony Silva is working with 411 on a Tum Yeto Controlled Chaos
segment, a Wheels of Fortune segment for 411, and an introductory Etnies
commercial for various video magazines. He’s been staying at my house
lately trying to get stuff done with me and everyone else around the area!
Beware of Tony Silva: he’s amped and hungry to come-out.
