Justin Smith from the Etnies-sponsored Shark Plano Honda
team had been in a coma since mid-January. He is now conscious, but not
talking and is having several other difficulties due to the swelling that
occurred in his brain.
Mike Brown got
a second place at the first round of the East coast Supercross series in
Indiana Saturday night. Mike led for most of the race and got passed with
only two laps to go. He is the current 125 National Champion.
Buddy Antunez, the former Arenacross Champion, got third place in
the 125 class this weekend. This is Bud-Man’s first time back to 125
Supercross in ten years.
Larry Ward-riding for the Etnies sponsored Moto XXX team-got fourth
in the 125 class. He was only going to ride the Outdoor National Series
until two weeks ago, when he decided to race Supercross.
Billy Payne took sixth for team Shark Plano Honda.
Jeremy “Twitch”
Stenberg and Jeff “OX” Kargola are in Utah doing a demo
at the Ice Village in Salt Lake City during the Olympics.
Scott Sheak broke his hand in practice. Scott also rides for Shark
Plano Honda and is the third rider of five to be injured for that team this
year. Scott broke two ribs three months ago and had just healed from that
injury.
Grant Langston
was riding a great race, challenging Mike Brown for the lead when
he crashed and broke his clutch lever and could not finish the race.
