If you're up for some serious ass-shakin' this Halloween in the Vancouver vicinity, there might be something happening just for you. Spectrum Events (the area's number one hip-hop promoter) is putting on the Halloween Clash: Automatic vs. Crossfade on Thursday, October 31 at the Vancouver Rowing Club in Stanley Park. Room 1 features drum & bass, breaks and downtempo from Matty, Jay Auto, Manos One, Priceless, Hopper, Tin Pan Alley and Dana D, while Room 2 boasts plenty of hip-hop, funk and old school with Mr. Rumble, Science, Hedspin, Degree One, Needle Kineval, Manos One and Spexx. Be sure to don your Halloween best, as there will also be a big costume contest with $1,500 in cash and prizes. Capacity is very limited and tickets are cheap ($10), so you may want to buy yours in advance. Available at Futuristic Flavour, Boomtown and FWUH...or at the door on the night of the show.
