The first round of the Supercross series was Sat the 5th. Travis Preston
won the 125cc race when his teammate Chris Gosselar and Rodrig Thain crashed
into each other with only a couple turns to the finish. Nick Wey
ended up in 7th in the 250cc class. Wey rides for Moto XXX along with Kyle
Lewis who got a 14th in the main event. 125cc National Champion, Mike
Brown is riding the East Coast 125 series and rode a 250cc on Saturday
for some practice. Mike was fast but had trouble in the rhythm section and
finished 15th. Brian
Deegan was at the race signing posters and talked to fans while
we had a BBQ just outside the pits. Brian will be leaving next week for
the Winter X Games in Colorado. Tim
Ferry had knee surgery last week and will be back on his Factory Yamaha
426 for the third round at Anaheim.
