Dave Lee just got back from Cabo where he and his friends celebrated
Todd Schlosser's wedding. Congratulations to Todd and Joanna Schlosser!!!
Joni Makinen will be heading out to Les Diablerie to get his shred
on. He's planning on stopping at some of the on-snow demos while rolling
Matt Hammer has been busy trying to find a place in Mammoth for
the winter while keeping busy with some improvements to his new home in
Nicolas Droz just got back from Switzerland (Les Diablerie) where he
met up with Wille Yli-Luoma and Dionne Delesalle. They spent
a week getting their legs warmed up for the season, hitting sloppy park
jumps and sketchy rails. Dionne just got back and he's looking
to relax for the week before he and the rest of the crazy Cannucks hit
up Big White - a resort that just opened up in Kelownna, BC. Wille
decided to stay in Les Diablerie since he only lives a few hours from
Kevin Sansalone started shredding with his friends taking 6 truckloads
of shredding ice from the local ice rink to slide a 36-stair (36!)
handrail in Vancouver. It took them a few hours to set up, but from the
positive feedback it sounds like he and his friends had a good time and
it was all worth the while.
Roberta Rodger is doing everything in her power to achieve a working
visa so she can travel a little bit easier this year instead of getting
hassled every time she goes back to Canada.
Chad Otterstrom spent his weekend in Philly and Pittsburgh for
shop tours with his board sponsor (M3). He's finalizing the plans for
his restaurant and anticipating an opening for mid November. They named
the restaurant after a surf tribe called "Maorias". Chad
will be visiting So. Cal this week to attend the premiere of "One"
a team video backed by Active Ride Shop and Sponsored by Etnies/Thirtytwo.
Some of the main riders featured in the movie will be Matt Hammer,
John Jackson, Willie Yli-Luoma, Gabe Taylor, Matt
Lebel, Paavo Tikkanen, Chad Otterstrom and Blaise
Rosenthal. The video will be premiered at the San Dimas shop Thursday

Janna Meyen is getting settled up in Big Bear training and getting
ready for the season to start. She'll spend the early part of the season
here in So Cal, then plans to hit up a few international events. Her main
focus is to film and shoot photos as much as possible with the photographers
from Transworld Snowboarding and Snowboarder magazines so she can let
the whole world know what she's all about. Yeah Jana!
